Tour for Tanzania 2022
October 21, 2022 @ 8:00 pm - October 23, 2022 @ 2:00 pm
$400Lithgow to Bathurst return
Overview
Riding through some of the best countryside NSW has to offer – this ride is all about challenging yourself whilst raising money to help people in need…. both here and abroad.
Here: We’ll be injecting some much needed funds into the local communities along the cycling route. We’ll be supporting locals by purchasing brekky, dinner and lunch in the communities we visit. We’ll also be supporting the local tourism industry, staying in two quality motels along the way.
Abroad: We’ll be aiming raise enough money to send 20 children to school in Tanzania. This is an opportunity to give the gift of education to children in need. Helping to empower leaders for tomorrow, and break the poverty cycle for a nation.

Meals
Breakfast and lunch will be provided on both days.
Cycling and coffee go together like peas in a pod – we’ll stop for a few delicious coffees along the way too.
On-road support
Full on-road support including support vehicles loaded up with spares, tools, snacks, water and cool people to help you reach your destination safely.
Cost
Will cover the costs of the ride, including accommodation, meals & support vehicles.
We’d love riders to aim to raise $500 for the Katoke Trust to participate (though every $1 will be appreciated so do your best!). Note – Riders can make a $500 donation themselves, and will be eligible for a tax deductible receipt for this portion.
Insurance
Your safety and enjoyment is our number one priority. We ask all riders to obtain appropriate insurance cover prior to participating in the ride. An option you might like to consider is insurance through Bicycle NSW. Click here.
COVID-19
We are living in a very dynamic time and we will do our best to run the ride as planned! If things change, we’ll keep you posted.
Accommodation
We’ll be staying in some awesome little country motels along the route. To keep ride costs to a minimum we will stay in twin share accommodation with 2 riders per room. If you would prefer to have a private room this can be arranged at an additional cost per night.
Fundraising target
We’re setting a $30,000 fundraising target for this event – and will use MyCause to take donations. You’ll have to set up a page which takes about 5mins. Click on the link below and don’t forget to select the Katoke Trust for Overseas Aid as the Charity. You can fundraise however you like – ask people to sponsor you, set up a bake sale at your office, have a pre-ride dinner at your house.
