The process of selecting students for sponsorship is an extremely difficult one. We commit to providing sponsorship only to the most genuinely poor and deserving families. In order to gain a place at the Katoke Lweru Secondary School students will undertake an entrance exam. If they pass the exam, they may submit an application for sponsorship.
The Katoke sponsorships coordinator will then make a visit the home of every applicant, to ascertain the level of need for sponsorship. If a family is legitimately unable to cover school fees for their child, the Katoke Trust will find a sponsor to cover the costs.
